She slowed her breath purposefully trying to think of the good times they had had together. And a fresh spray of tears oozed out of her now stinging eyes.Warming her limp cheeks as she thought of the last time they had kissed. If she’d known it was the last time she would have held on longer , cherished it more. through closed puffy eyes she tried to relive that moment but it made her sadder and her cheeks heavier. They sagged like they were weighed down by guilt and depression and all too heavy for her to ever be able to smile again.
She lay on her stomach and heard the thump of her heartbeat loud in her head. Muffling her sobs in the pillow and wiping her eyes on the embroidered pillow case, she thought of her heart and how weary it felt, like it wouldn’t last the night but the thump grew louder and reminded her that the pain of losing someone was cruel , it didnt allow you to escape so easily. The body dies with loss of blood but the heart can bleed forever without spilling its grief.she cried for her heart, for all it had been through, all the loving and teh losing, the trying times and the tiring ones.
Her salty tears stinging the wounds of her heart , leaving scars that run long and deep, they run into her soul and stain it bright red. Red like the colour of passion…
